Their journey began with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport before travelling to the stunning Mpingo Ridge Lodge in Tarangire National Park. Over two nights, they enjoyed spectacular views across the wilderness, close encounters with Tarangire’s famous elephant herds, and the tranquility that makes this landscape so unique.
From Tarangire, they continued to the lush surroundings of Gibbs Farm, where they spent three relaxing nights immersed in the beauty of the Ngorongoro Highlands. During their stay, they explored the fascinating cultural landscapes around Lake Eyasi, meeting local communities and gaining insight into traditions that have endured for generations, before returning each evening to the comfort and elegance of the farm.
The next chapter of their adventure took them into the heart of one of nature’s greatest spectacles. Flying from Lake Manyara Airstrip to Kogatende in the northern Serengeti, they spent four unforgettable nights at Siringit Serengeti Camp, perfectly positioned for the Great Migration. Vast herds crossing the plains, dramatic wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and the ever-changing rhythm of the Serengeti created memories that will last a lifetime.

Throughout the journey, Howard and Barbara repeatedly praised the seamless organization and clear structure of the safari. Every transfer, flight, accommodation, and activity was carefully coordinated, allowing them to relax with complete confidence. The sense of safety, comfort, and attention to detail became one of the defining aspects of their experience.
Yet among all the remarkable wildlife encounters and luxurious lodges, one of the most memorable moments came during their final evening at Alama Homestay. What began as a farewell celebration quickly became one of the highlights of the entire journey. Sharing stories from their safari over authentic Tanzanian cuisine, they were introduced to a local Nile Perch dish that they described as the finest fish they had ever tasted. They enjoyed it so much at lunch that they requested exactly the same meal again for dinner that evening, a compliment we still cherish.
